Make sure to take in the FREE chior singing at Evensong each night at St. Pauls in London.  No religious background is necessary to enjoy the wondful choral service at St. Paul’s Cathedral. We recommend visiting during the daily Evensong, which combines a traditional mass with a choir.    You will enter St Paul’s Cathedral through the main door, and then proceed up the Nave to the seats. One goof thing about taking in Evensong is that you will actually have some time available to do some sightseeing within  the cathedral and admire the architecture. Mass-goers will not be able to enter the galleries, or proceed beyond the central dome. A small part of the Crypt should also be open (where they have the restaurant and the shop), but not the part that contains the famous tombs.

The mass follows along traditional lines with readings and prayers. During termtime Evensong will be sung by the Cathedral Choir, but during the holidays a visiting choir may take their place.      Note: There is no specific dress code inside the Cathedral, but for services you are asked to dress in a respectful manner. Evensong will sometimes be replaced by Evening Prayer instead, and you should check your date on the St. Paul’s website to be sure.
